Day 6 - Dec 24th Christmas Eve Day

Breakfast Christmas Eve

For the first time on this trip we actual slept in. Wasn't until after 8 a.m. before everyone started moving around. We were helped by the ringing of the door bell (not sure I would call it a ring). The lady who manages this apartment/bed and breakfast arrive with breakfast. 

The plan today is to continue using the hop on - hop off bus. First to the Colosseum and then the Spanish Steps. We believe that since today is a holiday that the bus makes a special trip to the Spanish Steps. 

We are a little nervous about Christmas dinner. Most places are closed on Christmas Day. So thinking maybe we buy some pre-made meals and stick in our small refrigerator or find a Major Market and buy something to fix. Only time will tell what we decide. 

Last night when Aaron and Sara returned from their Gelato trip up the street they bought me a gift along the way. You may recall me trying to buy a hat for 15 Euros yesterday but the man at the stand first wanted 45 and came down to 25 Euros and we walked. Well they found one just outside our apartment for 12 Euros. So how do I look? Have an Italian made hat to wear when I return to the states. 

It's time to depart for our day of adventures will post more these evening when we settle back in.
